Emily I. Husa
Emily is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on representing clients in commercial and trust and estate disputes. She approaches complex matters a strong commitment to client advocacy.
Emily’s interest in dispute resolution developed early through her work with an international diplomacy program in Washington, D.C., where she helped students from around the world develop leadership and problem-solving skills. This formative experience shaped her appreciation for navigating high-stakes issues with pragmatism and empathy.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Western Washington University and worked in legal support roles before attending Seattle University School of Law. During law school, Emily participated in advocacy-focused work, volunteering with Seattle Youth Court, the Youth Education Law Collaborative, and records vacation clinics, and through assisting faculty on initiatives advancing plain language access and due process. She gained further litigation experience through internships with the Honorable Janet Chung of the Washington Court of Appeals, Division 1, and with Lasher.
After graduating, Emily returned to Lasher, where she represents clients through all phases of litigation. She also serves on the King County Bar Association New Lawyers Division Board of Trustees.
