Andrew M. Wagner
Andrew brings a sophisticated blend of tax controversy, litigation, and planning experience to his practice. He began his career in state government affairs working for a government relations company in Washington D.C. With a background in legislative drafting and policy analysis, Andrew has a broad perspective on how tax laws are developed and applied. This allows him to provide clients with strategic, forward-looking tax advice.
Prior to joining Lasher, Andrew externed as an international tax associate at Baker Mckenzie before joining an AmLaw 100 firm in New York City where he developed a strong foundation advising clients on complex state and local tax matters. He also has experience representing individuals and businesses in all stages of tax controversy including audit defense, administrative proceedings, and dispute resolution.
Andrew is currently focusing his practice on advising high-net-worth individuals and families in estate and gift tax planning as well as trust administration. He works closely with clients to design and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies and to navigate ongoing income, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax implications for his clients.
