The Past
Lasher was founded in 1973 by Earl Lasher, Jeff Brotman, and Mike Sweet. After a merger in 1975, the firm became Lasher Johnson & Sweet, and in 1989, the name changed to Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson to recognize the attorneys who had been with the firm in its early days. Today, Lasher is proud to be the only firm of its size in Washington state having women as two of its four named partners.
Over the years, we have grown, welcomed new partners, and — like many firms — eventually outgrew our old letterhead. Today, we embrace a streamlined identity — Lasher — reflecting both our history and our future.
From inception, Lasher has served as general counsel to privately held businesses, corporate leaders, and entrepreneurs, offering both business and litigation services. Our legal team supports clients in the areas they most often need: business, corporate, and tax law; commercial litigation and dispute resolution; real estate; employment law; bankruptcy and creditor’s rights; trusts and estate planning; probate; and family law.
