Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

We have an opening for a full-time experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position reports to the Controller and works closely with all internal departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: responsible for full A/P cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices to issuance of 1099s; verify payment requests for accuracy, proper payment authority and coding; process and enter all invoices for payment; generates checks on a daily basis; processes and reconciles all credit card charges; maintains accounts payable/vendor filing system; process annual unclaimed property reporting by resolving any outstanding AP checks; receive and post client payments – wires, ACHs, credit cards, checks; researches and solves payment discrepancies, make adjustments to accounts as needed; maintain Accounts Receivable files and documentation; display strong collections practices and follow-up, make outbound collection calls to obtain payments on outstanding invoices in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations; prepare reports reflecting collection efforts, data and results; assist Billing Manager with monthly billing; perform conflict checks; other duties/projects as assigned by the firm. Help Desk Technician

LHSE is hiring for our Help Desk Technician position. Emphasis of support to approximately 85 users is on desktop software including Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) along with Line-of-Business applications and Help Desk administration. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Primarily focused on assisting end-users with the troubleshooting of various issues, service requests, or incidents.
  • Take appropriate actions while assisting and enabling the Systems Administrator to troubleshoot incidents and provide basic service coordination for initial triage/troubleshooting of service requests.
  • Act as the first line for incoming user communications, when required.
  • Follow current policies and procedures for tracking end-user assistance requests.
  • Create training materials of firm software and present, with regularity, to LHSE users.
  • Identify opportunities to address end users’ security, network, storage, systems, voice, and mobility needs.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with end-users, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain and continually develop accurate product and application knowledge.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. of equipment.

Required for this position is a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems) or equivalent plus 2 years’ experience; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Help Desk support. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be an experienced user of the Windows 10 operating system and Microsoft Office suite of applications. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain professional correspondence, effectively present information, and respond to questions from end-users, management, clients, and vendors.

Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson provides a full compensation package that facilitates development and growth. Salary range for this position is $57,000 to $62,000 annually depending on experience. We also provide training on mutually agreed upon professional goals through a combination of self-study courses, formal training, and on-the-job training.
