Probate Paralegal
The Lasher Firm seeks a self-starter and responsible Probate Paralegal to join and grow with its Probate and Trust Administration team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in probate paralegal work including the ability to review and analyze Will and trust provisions, determine title of assets, prepare and file estate taxes, and work directly with clients. In addition, the successful candidate has strong research skills, superior client service and interpersonal skills, proven organization skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Our salaries are at market within the Puget Sound legal community with the annual base salary for this position ranging from $82,000.00 to $92,000.00 depending upon years of experience. Firm Administrator
The Lasher Law Firm is seeking an experienced Firm Administrator to take over from a retiring administrator. The Firm Administrator is to work closely in-office with the Managing Principal and the firm’s management committees to oversee the operations and administration of the firm while promoting teamwork and collegiality along with an appreciation for the diversity and individuality of the firm’s employees and vibrant culture.
Lasher is a mid-sized law firm based in downtown Seattle. The firm has been providing legal services to clients in the Pacific Northwest for over 50 years, with a commitment to excellence and customer service. The firm’s main areas of practice are corporate & business law, family law, creditors rights and bankruptcy, estate and gift tax returns, estate planning, trusts & probate, employment, real estate, tax law, trademark registrations, and business/trust/estate litigation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain and exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment at all times
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a team setting
- Strong leadership skills with proven success in conflict resolution and consensus building
- Advanced understanding of office management practices, including operations management, human resources, client relations, compliance and risk management, and strategic planning
- Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and problems in human resources, facilities and general operations; ability to recommend and implement solutions
- Solid planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other programs associated with firm administration
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management position, preferably in a law firm
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Overall management of the firm’s day-to-day operations
- Human Resources management and benefits administration
- Coordinate with the firm Controller regarding budget and payroll
- Facilities and furnishings
- Insurance
Salary Range and Benefits:
- $150,000 – $210,000, plus annual discretionary bonus
- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, matching 401(k) contribution up to 4% of your voluntary contribution, parking, paid time off (PTO)
