Representative Cases
Represents high level executives and owners of publicly and privately held Northwest businesses or their spouses whose estates involve significant community and separate property asset tracing and valuation in dissolutions. She is also experienced in drafting tax-advantaged marriage dissolution settlements. Participated in case preparation, negotiation and settlement in one of the country's largest marriage dissolutions.
Strickland v. Lakeshore Investment Corporation, et al.
Successfully partitioned more than 70 parcels of commercial real estate and reorganized a real estate corporation involving three generations of a family-owned business. The case required sophisticated knowledge of civil procedure, real estate valuation, tax and corporate planning and mediation skills. The involved parties were able to resume control of their respective assets, separate from family business partners and implement their business plan.
VA Hospital, Portland, Oregon
Collected $1.650 million in contract changes and impacts for a mechanical subcontractor in a mediated settlement with the general contractor and the Veteran's Administration.
Boeing/Paine Field/High Bay Building
Through aggressive settlement negotiations, assisted two mechanical contractors in recovering their contract balances and claims for changes during the construction process after the general contractor defaulted.
